Using the LaunchPad QuickFind Form
This easy to use feature is perhaps the most powerful!
Order
For the first time ever the Miva Merchant admin is the FASTEST way to find order details!
| Make sure the picklist displays Order |
|
| Enter an Order Number and click GO or hit the ENTER key on your keyboard. |
|
| If the order doesn't exist the form will display ??? |
|
| If the order exists it will be displayed, and the menu tree will be opened to the appropriate batch! |
Category and Product
The Category and Product QuickFind features work in the same way. They can be used either:

| To pull up a single Product or Category by entering the appropriate CODE |
|
| To search for the string entered, returning all matching Categories / Products. |
Eg. You want to pull up details of the product which has product code "WALNUTS"
|
| Make sure the picklist shows Product |
|
| Type walnuts or WalNUTS - case does not matter - and click GO. |
|
| Launchpad will bring up the screens for Edit Product: WALNUTS |
But, perhaps you don't remember the exact product code, but you remember it has something to do with NUTS!

| Type nuts and click GO |
|
| Launchpad will first look for a product with product code "NUTS", but if it doesn't find that it will display the list of products which are the result of if you did Search: Nuts |
Switching between Stores
If you have multiple stores on the same domain, you may want to switch between them when using LaunchPad. The QuickFind Form and Store related Quicklinks always act on the "Current" store. If you have multiple stores the QuickFind form is modified to include an entry for each store! Store 1 is always the default, but you can switch with a single click by selecting the storename from the QuickFind form and clicking Go.
Configuring the 12 Shortcut Buttons
You can link to just about ANYWHERE inside the Miva Merchant admin from Launchpad... Having said that, some places are easier than others because of the way Miva Merchant admin is designed.
There are 2 EASY ways to configure links, and one advanced way. The Easy ways are:

| Selecting from a picklist of Frequent Miva Admin Tasks |

| Selecting from a picklist of installed modules. Some of these are standard modules, and some are 3rd party vendor modules. |
The advanced method is not rocket science, but is slightly more complicated so is documented here seperately. This method is supplied for those who want to really get under the hood of LaunchPad, but IS NOT SUPPORTED.
Changing Skins
LaunchPad has the ability to change "skins" for personalization. Many skins are available to choose from. To change the skin:

| Click Setup in the Launchpad panel. |

| Click Browse Skins at MivaCentral This will open a NEW window and display the available skins. |
|
| Click When you find a skin that you like, note it's "NUMBER" and enter that numeral into the LaunchPad Setup Screen |

| Click Click Update |
